International Program Leader Health and Safety Training: A Training for Temple University Faculty and Staff

Faculty or staff program leaders with responsibility for taking Temple students abroad, whether for one week or 15, will be enrolled in an online International Program Leader Health and Safety training through HR’s Learning and Development platform

The online training program will address a variety of health and safety topics, including a discussion-based review of case studies of actual events that have occurred abroad, with input and best practices from various campus experts on topics such as student privacy, mental health, student identity, disability resources, student conduct and more. We will also provide an overview of Temple's new international travel medical insurance plan, administered by International SOS, our longstanding provider of 24-hour emergency, medical and security travel advice and assistance.

Upon completing the online training, Global Health, Safety and Security will convene all program leaders to answer any questions that may arise, review current travel trends, discuss potential impacts to programming, and connect program leaders with other resources as they prepare to lead a group abroad.
